Question of the Week #5

I love the Cowboys. Yes I have loved them since 1967. They are like my children. I get frustrated with them, sometimes I don't even want to look at them, but when they are good they are very, very good. I married a man who loves them too.

My Swap partner ROCKS THE HOUSE

Note To Self

I have been a terrible swap partner. Yes I got my package out, but I don't feel that I put the care into it that I have put into other swaps I have participated in. I just have not had any extra time the last two months. This is the first time I have even turned on my computer in almost two weeks I think.
I am going to be a better partner from now on.

Real Men don't TEXT!

My 28 year old daughter's week began as normally as possible. She and her husband got up an d went to Church on Sunday, went shopping, watched a movie and got ready to go to work on Monday.
Monday her husband did not come home finally he texted her and said he was working late on a house in Plano and would probably just go to the Fire Station for his shift without coming home first. Tuesday night he was on shift so she did not see him and he had instructed her to never call him at work. Early Wednesday a.m. she had an anxiety attack. She called me for help unable to get hold of her husband. I live an hour away but I went immediately to her. I got her to a doctor whom she told that these attacks had become more frequent in the last few months because she knows her husband is unhappy but he won;t talk about it. They have been going to couples counseling but he only went to 4 and then refused to go, my daughter continued to go so she would know how to cope with her husband in a loving and supportive way. Wednesday he was supposed to go hunting with his mom's boyfriend and did not come home wednesday night. Thursday at noon while she was at work he texted her that he loved her. She got home from work Thursday night and started noticing that some of his clothes were gone, some pictures, his guns. She tried unsuccessfully to contact him. Friday was a holiday and she was alone. He finally texted her that him and MIke had gotten home late to Mesquite and he had just staYED THERE. Not addressing the message about the missing items. At 4 p.m. Friday this is the text he seNt his wife of nine years.
FROM JARRETT:
I HAVE GOTTEN AN ATTORNEY AND FILED FOR DIVORCE. I AM SORRY. YOU SHOULD SURROUND YOURSELF WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS AT THIS TIME. I AM NO LONGER THE HUSBAND YOU NEED. I AM NOT HAPPY AND I AM MAKING YOU UNHAPPY. WE CAN NO LONGER TALK. I AM TURNING MY PHONE OFF. I'LL BE FAIR.
And so ends another marriage. They had traveled all over the world together, grown up together, she supported him while he got his career started. She is beautiful, stayed in shape, kept a beautiful home and prayed and supported her husband and this is what she gets.

Quote from "The Shack"

Thought from The Shack that has stayed with me: We all have our own set of rules on what we consider to be right and what we consider to be wrong. And even an individual's judgments change over time. Things a person used to think were right he now considers wrong and vice-versa. So if everyone has their own set of rules and even those rules don't remain constant, no wonder there is chaos in this world.

I'm ALMOST a SUPERHERO

Your Superpower Should Be Invisibility

You are stealth, complex, and creative.

You never face problems head on. Instead, you rely on your craftiness to get your way.

A mystery to others, you thrive on being a little misunderstood.

You happily work behind the scenes... because there's nothing better than a sneak attack!

Why you would be a good superhero: You're so sly, no one would notice... not even your best friends

Your biggest problem as a superhero: Missing out on all of the glory that visible superheroes get

Theodore Roosevelt said this a long, long time ago. Why are we still having to explain this to immigrants?"

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

I do not have anything against immigration but I do have a problem with some who come here expecting us to assimilate instead of themselves.

You Are An INFJ

The Protector

You live your life with integrity, originality, vision, and creativity.

Independent and stubborn, you rarely stray from your vision - no matter what it is.

You are an excellent listener, with almost infinite patience.

You have complex, deep feelings, and you take great care to express them.

In love, you truly see relationships as an opportunity to connect and grow.

You enjoy relationships as long as they are improving and changing. You can't stand stagnation.

At work, you stay motivated and happy... as long as you are working toward a dream you support.

You would make a great photographer, alternative medicine guru, or teacher.

How you see yourself: Hardworking, ethical, and helpful

When other people don't get you, they see you as: Manipulative, weak, and unstable

The Scary Months of May and June

First you hear your most beloved son has Cancer and your heart stops, then it starts to pound very hard as if it is trying to leave your body as you search for a plan, a course of action, a weapon of mass destruction to kill the cancer so it will never touch your family again. He goes in for surgery and you say your Rosary over and over again as if you say it enough or with enough faith you can surely save him. You wait 5 days, 10 days then you get the call. The node was definitely Cancer and we think we got it all, but we did find another spot but this type of Cancer has a high rate of cure and with some chemotherapy we are feeling very positive. So we start Chemo, the third day after chemo is the worst, he is tired and sick but insists on going to work. He is strong, he is a man but he is still my baby boy.

Gypsy, our dog. She is the reason we ended our vacation early.

Gypsy got away from the kennel help and they couldn't find her. She was missing from Saturday night to Wednesday morning. We got the message Tuesday morning and immediately loaded up and drove back. I found her in an empty lot on 3rd street in Jacksboro on Wednesday morning. It was a very happy reunion!
